About the
project

The Orot Yosef power plant, located in an industrial zone in southern Israel, was purchased in 2020 from the Israel Electric Corporation (IEC) as part of the privatization of Israel's electricity sector. It includes 9 turbines: 5 operating as combined-cycle units and 4 open-cycle gas turbines, with a total capacity of 1,194 MW. The power plant operates with natural gas as a primary fuel, with diesel fuel as a backup secondary fuel when necessary.

A note by the project manager

“I am proud to lead a team that ensures a stable and reliable energy supply for Israel. Our facility plays a vital role in meeting the nation’s energy demands, while maintaining the highest  safety and environmental standards.”
