About the
project

The Etgal open-cycle power plant, powered by natural gas with a total capacity of 186 MW, is currently under construction. The facility is located near the Port of Ashdod, one of Israel’s three main cargo ports. The Etgal power plant will be powered by natural gas as the primary fuel and diesel fuel as a backup, secondary fuel. The project is entitled to receive income from availability tariffs and electricity sales.
